LA REVOLUTIÓN...
Another piece from the Textile Art of Today environments collection, this project was dedicated to artist Daniel Szalai. His portrait of Che, made from cut film strips, serves as the central “protagonist” in the envisioned streets of Havana.
While this project wasn’t technically difficult to create, the design process was a challenge. We scoured various maps of Havana to find a specific location that would serve as the foundation for the environment we envisioned. This scene is the only “tangible” one among all the planets, depicting empty streets after "La Revolutión", where there’s nothing left to say or do.
